Matt Wright - Undergraduate Building Surveyor

Matt is currently studying a four year sandwich degree in Building Surveying BSc (Hons) at Northumbria. He was delighted to be offered a position as an Assistant Building Surveyor at LSA for his third year to be spent in industry.

Matt has future ambition to become a RICS Accredited Chartered Building Surveyor and he feels that a year at LSA will be beneficial to both his degree and future career.

Community groups have been given an insight into how they might secure funding for heritage projects at the latest in a series of lectures in Richmond.Fiona Speirs, head of the Heritage Lottery Fund for Yorkshire and Humber, spoke to an audience of around 80 people at the event at Richmond Station.

Part of the Governments attempts at kick starting construction as a means of boosting economic growth, is to enable up to 40,000 residential projects which would normally require planning permission, to be constructed under permitted development. The Government launched a consultation to widen the scope of residential and business permitted development rights on the 12th of November, 2012.
