Paul said, “After 20 years of managing the repair of traditional and historic buildings, I am delighted to have received this recognition from the RICS; whether I am restoring a cottage or a castle, there is nothing I love more than carefully reinstating these lovely old buildings so that their stories from history can be told. Accreditation will also allow me to work on ancient monuments and Heritage Lottery projects so I am looking forward to the opportunities this may bring for the practice."

This family firm of chartered surveyors offers full design and project management services for historic building projects, obtaining all the necessary planning and other consents needed, including those from English Heritage. Recent conservation successes include the restoration of fire damage to the church of Saint Robert of Newminster in Morpeth where a new altar and lectern were also designed by Paul’s team. The Richmond office has also seen success with an appointment to restore the features of an historic parkland at Forcett Hall, a Grade I listed mansion in North Yorkshire. One of Paul’s current projects is the restoration a farm previously owned by Beatrix Potter in the Lake District where her writing desk and some of her paintings still remain.

Paul can be contacted on 0779 381 4224.
