Land Surveys

Working alongside our clients, we can create accurate detailed land survey CAD drawings including among other objects; man-made features, physical boundary details, tree positions, contours and natural terrain.

The level of detail is very much project specific, however, so we work closely with our clients to tailor each job to their needs whether it is a simple site plan or a more in depth 3D topographical survey.

Using modern technology, we can create these scaled plans in a time efficient manner.

For projects big and small, a highly accurate quality survey will ensure a smooth design and implementation process and minimises the risk of costly unforeseen mistakes at a later stage.

  1. What is the difference between a basic site plan and topographical survey?

A site plan is a more simplistic technical drawings which shows information in 2D whereas a topographical survey generates a map which holds 3D co-ordinates and therefore levels which are necessary for certain projects. We are able to advise you what you would require and guide you through your building project.

  1. What is a Total Station?

A total station is a digital theodolite which is used to measure distance, angle and coordinates in surveying.

  1. Why would you need a land survey?

There are many reasons why you might need a your property surveying such as; creating a drainage plan for a large site, developing a piece of land, extending your home into the garden, rebuild a riverside, repair a bridge, submit plans to land registry to define a boundary, boundary disputes.
